When I grow up I want to be… an astronaut? A scientist? A zookeeper? We’ve all asked and answered that question. And most likely, a long time ago. Long enough for that answer to change. Long enough for the question – and the context – to change too.
Financial Wellbeing is about asking that question again. What brings you JOY and PURPOSE in life now, and how can you make sure you get more of it in the future?
Did you know that only 28%* of us have actively worked out what brings us that purpose in life. And it’s the 28% that are finding the best balance between joyful activities, purposeful commitments, and the people they love.
It all comes together when your vision of yourself is more concrete. Because the more assured our future self is, the more likely it is that we make sensible savings, intelligent investments, pay into our pension – and even take control of debts. Because the more informed we are of where we want to be, means we’ll make more meaningful and measured financial decisions now, in order to maintain it and attain it. Because Financial Wellbeing isn’t about sacrificing your joy now to attain it later. It’s both a short and long term thing.

So where do you want to be when you grow up? In 5, 10, or 20 years? Lots of people wonder what Financial Wellbeing is. But that’s the thing. Ask yourself what makes you happy and brings you joy and purpose? What can you do financially to attain it now and in the future? Financial Wellbeing is about asking that question again.
