If you are having trouble accessing the Pension Awareness TV shows, dont worry, we have put a troubleshooting guide together to help you.

I haven't received a link for the event?

If you haven't yet registered please go to https://www.pensionawarenessday.com/live-shows and sign up for the shows you're interested in (see below). Each time you register for a show, you should receive an email with a confirmation link. Please note: You are not registered until you've confirmed by clicking the button for a show.

When we go live with a show you'd like to attend, you can go back to the live show page where you registered to watch. Simply enter the email address you used to register (this must match exactly so we can confirm your entry)

I've registered but not received a link?

If you didn't receive a confirmation link, please check your junk/spam folder. If it's not there the easiest thing to do is try registering with a different email address. Sometime work email systems can block emails it deems suspicious.

If you can access Vimeo directly, please go to https://vimeo.com/event/2404661 to view the live stream there. This link will also work for other shows in the week.

I can't make the TV show, how do I cancel and will they be recorded?

If you can't make one of our shows, don't worry, you don't need to do anything. As the week goes on we will upload the recordings to the website so you can watch on catch-up.

The Pension Awareness website isn't working?

If you can't reach our website, please check your internet connection by visiting another site, just please make sure you come back to our site afterwards!

If you are viewing the Pension Awareness event through your workplace, the site may be blocked by the IT team.

If so you will need to get the below sites unblocked:

pensionawarenessday.com
vimeo.com

It may also be easier for you to connect to another network, your home wifi for instance, if one is available that doesn't block the site.

The video is pixelated/ not very good quality?

If the video is poor quality, there are settings within the video player you can check.

Click the cog icon
Hit the dropdown control next to 'Quality'
And then adjust the quality control as needed. Please be aware though, if you have a poor connection, adjusting this too high may cause the video to buffer or freeze.

It could also help to close other applications and browser tabs that may use up your available bandwidth.

No sound?

If you can't hear any sound from the live feed, first of all if there's a technical problem at our end, keep an eye on the chat window to the right of the video and we will keep people informed here.

Otherwise, first we'd recommend checking that your computer plays sound from a site you can guarantee plays a sound that you can access. There are sites dedicated to this like https://speaker-test.com/

If you can hear other sounds then check the volume level of the video is high enough. You can see this by how many blue bars are showing on the volume meter.
